I haven't tried any of the LC's or other high end stuff. If I get the usual Cabela's gift card for Xmas I might have to get some.
Those are impressive Carp Scott. It would be a blast trying to land one on a fly rod. I caught a small one once on the Kokosing with a 5 wt and it put up quite a fight.

Phil- I switched to braid this year and like that. I use 15 lb/ 6lb diam or 20/8 for spinning reels. It worked well for me.

If you have any other questions contact Heather Dean at the Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW). Her Title is Watershed Coordinator and may be able to offer you some insight. I t sounds like the position is what mikem described it as. She is mostley coordinating activities fo the group.

Today the Ohio house passed the Great Lakes Compact. this is an agreement between the Great Lakes states and surrounding Canadian provinces to protect the Great Lakes from from diversion of water from the lakes for others. It will have a tougher time in the Senate though. Check out info on the compact here: www.theoec.org/WaterDiversions.htm

I was reading about this on OEC's website. There was a report that phosphorus levels in the Darby were already 80% higher than they should be. You can check out more at www.theoec.orgMike
