Looks like you've tweaked your yak to fish and are hooking up with some nice smallies.
That pic of the rack system is a great example for others to see what is possible.
The camera/GPS mount on the OT Diringo is sweet. I'd like to mount my Canon with underwater case on a mount.
The seasons not over till the water gets hard.
Happy T-Day to all!

I'm scared! I think I'm telling my vintage. I got my first yak in '78'. I've had a feeeeew since. Each is a story that offered opportunities.
The boss says if I get another one I'm going to have to sleep with it.
I'll make certain she gets her favorite pillow and an extra blanket so she is comfy in the garage. It get chilly at times.

The season is growing near. Its time to check out the boats, paddle, PFD and other accessories.
I Got my PFD's down and inspected and cleaned the up. I gave my wooden canoe paddle a good going over and a coat of spar varnish.
I see my solo Sawyer canoe might need skid plates added after 32 years of dedicates service. A touch of gelcoat on the hull when warmer weather comes.
Need to replace deck bungee on a couple yaks. Get the sand for last season out of the boat shoes and disinfect.
Hook up lights on the canoe trailer and inspect bearings.
Its that time!

Scott, I'm probably going to bring a LL Manta Ray 12, WS Pungo Classic 12 Angler, or Sawyer Classic solo canoe to the swap.
I'm thinning down the fleet. Need space for home remodelling projects & materials in '08.

Its time to look at the waning season, your boating gear and your X-mas wish list. November & December and great times to scout.
With sunking leaves lining the stream bottoms, gin-clear clarity and lower water levels in time to see what you've missed! You'll be amazed at the structure you've past, fished or just didn't think existed.

DD,
You know thats a good question. Maybe we can think about something to build thread on.
With the off season approaching this might be a good time to share what is out there or what we paddle/fish from.
If others get interested the questions should develope.

Hey DD, I get questions from anglers looking to learn about paddling to their angling. Then paddlers that ask about learning how-to's of smallmouth angling.
Lets open up a discussion for the paddle curious, challenged and addict smallmouth anglers.
Maybe there something we can all learn and share!!
One stroke ahead, One cast beyond. Rick

Kyle, Where have you been the past couple years!!!
In most organizations its the core 10% that do the work.
I'd rather see a dedicated core of 70% and a supportive element of 30%. That better numbers than most market research polls get. Thats about 7 "get-r-done" and 3 "care-2-give" out of 10 that make up the OSA community.
Its all about is those that give a dane to show, follow thru and return.
Like you I have gear. I'll buy the hat to cover the sparse foliage on top.
I'm looking to connect with the The Other Smallmouth Anglers than are the Ohio Smallmouth Alliance. The friends of the smallmouth bass in Ohio.
Somebody get him a box and loudspeaker!
Great!

Scott,\ You da' Man! Great thoughts. We need a head count of volunteers to put on the workshops, demos, fly tying , lure making or paddling technique events. Hooking to other sites may bring inquiries if there are threads that interest the readers. I belong to the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance as well as TOSA. They offer a 20 page newsletter, eventds, a new members package with information mics. tackle, patch, logo sticker and member options to purchase hats, shirts and such. Check out www.illinoissmallmouthalliance.com . It all takes manpower, time and cooperation to make it work. Sure your $ are important, but any time you can offer is just as valuable to the communinty of the organization. Attending meetings, TOSA functions, writing a thread or a better a newsletter article. Introduing another to the TOSA mission. Its all about you, me, us, others and the smallmouth bass. WE can work tegether to initiate and execute your suggestions. Where shall we start? Rick
