Hey guys , have'nt been around awhile, spending more time with "other" species...yea I know after smallies is there really any other species..lol.
Anyway, really surprised to see no reports of guys through the Winter out catching smallies, what gives ? I know normally Jan. is the toughest month just because its the coldest and sometimes the rivers and streams freeze up to much to get out....but usually November and December are great , then picks back up in Feb.
When I was hitting the smallies hard years ago I had 36 months straight catching a smallie each month..then a really bad Jan. one year broke my streak. Heck 9 out of my 12 Fish-Ohio smallies have come between Nov.-March .
Well just thought I would drop back in to see how everyones been......catch you on the water sometime.

Job keeps me so busy that I only fish rarely in winter, and then it's almost always steelhead. (Need to feed the smoker.) I'll be back onto the Micropterus soon enough. ...I hope.
