I didn't experiment much with new tackle this year while bass fishing. However, I did have a bit more action while fishing the Zulu. It's a truly awesome bait. I also learned a couple lessons. Never take a fishing trip out of state and leave your spinning rods at home. If you learn that you don't need them, then they can sit at camp. It is better to have them and not need them than it is to need them and not have them. I ran into ultra clear water down on the New and that was a curve ball to me. Also, note to self.........it woulnd't kill ya to have a few spinnerbaits in less bright colors.

My tackle after a lot of years wading and now paddling on the streams is...Shimano Calcutta 51 and 101 baitcasters, spooled w/ Suffix performance braid....matched w/ Mojo bass rods. Shimano Sustain's spooled w/ suffix performance braid...matched w/Mojo bass rods....and im down to just about 10 lures that will catch the bigger fish. Thats all I fish anymore , no need to mess with much else as I have the pattern down......oh and I got rid of the 9.5 Swifty and added a matching color Native Ultimate 9.5 to go with my Native Ultimate 12...love these boats , cant see using anything else.....and I can stand up and fish on those slow flow sections.
