I spent 2 days down Virginia fishing the New River for the first time ever. We camped out in the McCoy area and had approx 40-45 guys in camp from MD, VA, NC, KY, OH, IN, GA, FL & MI. The river was low and ultra clear. This was a challenge to me as I am not used to fishing such clear water. My first VA fish did just so happen to be a 33" musky. I caught 5 smallies the first day with the best one being 14"s. The 2nd day I caught 3 dink smallies and 3 largies which the biggest was 16"s. Unfortunately, I wasn't brave enough to take my phone out on the water due to some bumpy spots, and therefore, no pictures were captured by me. If I learn of photos from any of the other guys in camp, I will see if I can get some to post. The weather was great, the company was fantastic and the fishing was just fine. I had a really good time. I hope to get down there again sometime.
