April 2010 meeting

Greetings All:

The April meeting of The Ohio Smallmouth Alliance will feature ODNR Division of Wildlife Biologist Mr. Ethan Simmons. Ethan is now in charge of the Division's stream monitoring program and will be updating us on the past year's gamefish sample (especially smallmouth bass catches!). The meeting is free and open to the public, and all eager stream anglers should plan to be there!

Ethan gave a great seminar last night. I look forward to future results of the more comprehensive stream sampling that his group will be doing. Also, hopefully the new proposed regulations are received well in the upcoming survey.

Smead, welcome to the site. The new fishing survey from the ODNR will be coming out in May. I am sure they will post it on their website. There would not be a link to the other information as it was just slide presentation by the fisheries biologist from the ODNR.
