I took a course last year with one of the scientists from OSU involved in this. He used a kayak w/anchor and GPS antenna to do cross sectional profiles of the pool area in front of the dam. Don't count on this one going down within the next five years. These things take forever - for some reason... but I think it probably will happen eventually. The whole thing started several years ago when the City of Columbus got sued by one of these environmental organizations. Part of the settlement was that they were required to to a feasibility study on removing the dam.
